LOOK OUT FOR YOURSELF & EACH OTHER

Good finds. Safer meetups.

A school email connects someone to a campus inbox. It doesn’t guarantee a safe transaction. Take a moment to plan your pickup.

YOUR PICKUP CHECKLIST

1.Choose a public spot

Meet in a busy, well-lit place on campus, such as a library lobby or student center. Avoid private rooms or isolated locations.

2.Give it a proper look

Inspect the item before paying. Test electronics, check for damage, and make sure it matches the listing.

3.Pay at the exchange

Arrange payment directly with the seller once you’ve seen the item. Don’t send money in advance or share passwords or verification codes.

4.You can always walk away

If something feels off, leave. You don’t have to complete a purchase, even if you’ve already agreed to meet.

Watch for pressure.

Requests for deposits, account codes, or payment before pickup deserve a pause. So do sudden price changes or pressure to meet somewhere private.

Keep a little context.

Save the listing link and your agreement on price and pickup. If plans change, let the other person know before the meetup.

Something doesn’t feel right?
